What happened

A pause, not a goodbye.

When we lost the third chef who ran our takeaway counter, we had a choice: cut corners to keep it going, or pause and bring it back properly. We paused.

It was the right call but a hard one. The takeaway sold out most nights it ran, and the enquiries haven't stopped. We're not letting that go.

Same fish. Same chip. Same care.

We're hiring. When the kitchen is back up to strength, the counter will reopen.

The same day-caught fish from Brixham Harbour and Newlands Market. The same chip from the same potatoes. Cooked by people who know what they're doing. We won't restart it just to restart it — we'll do it properly, or not at all.

The dining room is open Tuesday to Saturday, lunch and dinner. Same kitchen, same boats, same care — just with the table set, the wine list out, and a service that takes its time.
